Week 9 Wednesday Practice Injuries Report

As usual for Wednesdays, players that had injuries concerns were held out of practice including those that appeared in Major Week 8 Injuries from Sunday Update and were expected to suit up (Hakeem Nicks, Beanie Wells and Ahmad Bradshaw) for Week 9. Here are the major injury related news from Wednesday's practice around the NFL:

Joseph Addai- returned to full practice on Wednesday after getting one in last Friday. He should resume his starting position back from the timeshare of Delone Carter and Donald Brown.

Kevin Kolb- was held out of Wednesday's practice and reports are that Kolb has a mid-foot sprain and a bone bruise in his foot in addition to the already known turf toe. With the latest news, it sounds like John Skelton will be the likely starting quarterback this Sunday against the Rams.

Darren McFadden- did not practice and exited the Raiders' facility in a protective booth and using crutches. All signs point towards McFadden being out against the Broncos with Michael Bush getting the start and Taiwan Jones being the change of pace back.

Peyton Hillis- was expected to practice, but did not practice. If his hamstring does not improve, Chris Ogbonnaya will get the start against the Texans.

Willis McGahee- returned to limited practice where he carried the ball with his left hand and not his dominant/surgically repaired right hand. He is optimistic he can play on Sunday against the Raiders, but it is too early to tell.

Andre Johnson- did not practice and is "day to day" for Sunday's game against the Browns. From early reports, it sounds like he will be out again this week but there is no official word yet.

Ryan Matthews- there is no update on his groin strain, but he did not practice on Wednesday while Mike Tolbert (hamstring) had a full practice. Most signs point towards Matthews missing the game against the Packers while Tolbert could be in for a huge workload.

Daniel Thomas- returned to practice on a limited basis, which is already an improvement compared to last week when he was only able to do so on Thursday and Friday.

Mark Ingram- missed Wednesday's practice and his status for Week 9 is uncertain.

Julio Jones- returned to limited practice after the bye week and is fully expected to start in a good matchup against the Colts.
