Week 10 Major Injuries Report from Sunday (Monday Update Part 1)

Original post: Week 10 Major Injuries Report from Sunday

Most of the above post is included below with the updated parts in bold. If you want to read any old deleted portions refer to the link above. Today was a negative day in terms of injuries updates with several players being placed on injured reserve. Here is Part 1of the update of the major injuries in the NFL on Sunday:

Willis McGahee- has been medically cleared to practice on Tuesday and is expected to start on Thursday Night Football against the Jets. With Knowshon Moreno also injured in the game, Lance Ball was the beneficiary of the huge workload and should be at least the main backup on Thursday against the Jets and if McGahee is out then Ball will be in for another big load.

Knowshon Moreno- done for the season and placed on injured reserve with a torn right ACL. Lance Ball stands to benefit from his absence.

Matt Cassel- coach Todd Haley revealed that Cassel's right hand is significant and will require surgery. He could be placed on I.R. Tyler Palko will get the start against New England and rookie Ricky Stanzi will the back up.

Jeremy Maclin- has been diagnosed with a sprained AC joint or more commonly known as a separated shoulder. Maclin did not sound optimistic about his chances of playing in Week 11, but there was no update on his playing status.

A.J. Green- sustained a hyperextended right knee, but expects to play in Week 11 against the Ravens. Coach Marvin Lewis confirmed after a MRI that Green is not expected to miss any time going forward.

Julio Jones- aggravated his hamstring injury right before halftime and did not return to the game. Jones was pleading his case to play, but was not cleared. It sounds that he was kept out as a precautionary measure and should be good to go against the Titans. If he is out, Harry Douglas could be worth a look after his 8 receptions for 133 yards. There was no update today.

Leonard Hankerson- placed on injured reserve with a torn labrum in his right hip. Jabar Gaffney will keep the top receiver spot on the Redskins.
