Original post: Week 11 Major Injuries Report from Sunday

Most of the above post is included below with the updated parts in bold. If you want to read any old deleted portions refer to the link above. For injuries updates to players (such as Andre Johnson, Darren McFadden, Julio Jones, Matt Cassel, Peyton Hillis) that were not mentioned on yesterday's report, see the ShoutBox. Here is the update of the major injuries in the NFL on Sunday:

Adrian Peterson- has a Grade 1 high left ankle sprain and the Monday MRI also revealed some ligament damage. Coach Leslie Frazier has not ruled out Peterson for Week 12, but did confirm he will be in a protective boot for the next few days. If Peterson is out, then Toby Gerhart would start.

Darrius Heyward-Bay- Coach Hue Jackson assured that DHB is fine and moving around. There is no word on his status for Week 12 and beyond.

Fred Jackson- has already been ruled out for Wednesday's practice and is day to day. Jackson expects to play in Week 12, but if he is out then C.J. Spiller will get the carries.

Donald Jones- went down with an ankle injury in the second quarter and is expected to miss 3-6 weeks. Jones could be placed on injured reserve. If Jackson is healthy, then Spiller should be the slot receiver while kicking David Nelson outside.

Colt McCoy- did not have a MRI and should be good for Week 12, he is out then Seneca Wallace would be up next.

James Starks- coach Mike McCarthy confirmed that Starks has knee and ankle sprains. Keep in mind t the Packers play the Lions on Thursday during Thanksgiving so with the short turnaround it is very possible that Starks will miss at least Week 12. If he does, Ryan Grant will get his starting spot back but don't expect much out of him.

Greg Jennings- has a bruised knee, but is expected to practice on Tuesday.  It sounds like Jennings will be ready to on on Thursday against Detroit.

Matt Hasselback- has no structural damage to his right throwing elbow. It is just a sprained elbow and sprained flexor muscle. His status for Week 12 will not be known until Friday. If Hasselback is unable to go, Jake Locker would start against Tampa Bay.

Jay Cutler- the Bears confirmed that Cutler will need surgery on his fractured right thumb and are hopeful he can play in Week 16 or Week 17. Caleb Hannie will start for however long Cutler is out.
