Week 11 Start/ Sit Part 5: Ks and Defenses

For the previous part:
Week 11 Start/ Sit Part 1: QBs
Week 11 Start/ Sit Part 2: RBs
Week 11 Start/ Sit Part 4: TEs

An expanded version with players from readers' feedback included will be posted on Saturday. This is Part 5 of the starts and sits for Week 11:

K

Start 'Em

Sebastian Janikowski (at Vikings)- this is the second straight week that a kicker going against Minnesota's defense has appeared in here. Janikowski looked slightly better last Thursday and with the extra rest before Week 11, he should be ready to go this Sunday. The Vikings' defense has allowed the most fantasy points to kickers in the NFL and Janikowski is primed to take advantage of this matchup.

Sit 'Em

Phil Dawson (vs. Jaguars)- this is the second straight week that a kicker facing Jacksonville's defense is in here. Dawson has scored in double figures in 3 of the last 4 weeks, but Cleveland's offense has struggled to put up points on the board. Add in the fact that Jacksonville has moved to the top spot in allowing the fewest fantasy points to kickers and there is no reason to start Dawson at all in Week 11.

DEF

Start 'Em

Patriots (vs. Chiefs)- New England's defense has been terrible, but they get to face a Kansas City team at home with Tyler Palko as its starting quarterback. As bad as the Patriots secondary has been this season, Bill Belichik is probably licking his chops at game planning for Palko. The Patriots defense should finally have a good week.

Browns (vs. Jaguars)- this is the second straight week that Cleveland's defense is in this list. The Browns defense is not great or even good in fantasy circles, but once more it will be facing a really bad offense. Jacksonville only has one player that has been effective on offense and that is Maurice Jones-Drew so all the Browns have to do is stop him and they should be able to put some numbers.

Sit 'Em

Chiefs (at Patriots)- Kansas City's defense has been surprisingly good in some matchups this season, but no in this one against the Patriots. Tom Brady looked like his old self last week and that was facing a much tougher Jets defense. The Chiefs should present no problem for Brady and company.

Buccaneers (at Packers)- this is the third straight week that a defense facing the Packers is in this list. As mentioned in Part 2, Tampa Bay's passing defense is ranked #28 and this not good news when going against the Green Bay offensive juggernaut. The Buccaneers will be no match again for Aaron Rodgers and the receiving corps of the Packers elite passing machine.
