Week 11 Major Injuries Report from Sunday

This Sunday was a continuation of Week 10 in terms of major injuries as there were a few key players go down and not only during the games, but also after. As of right now, the most significant injury appears to be the one Jay Cutler who finished the Chargers with no problem, but had news of his possible season ending injury start to leak out afterwards. Let's get to the key players that suffered major injuries in Week 11and their fantasy implications:

Adrian Peterson- left the game in the first quarter with a left ankle sprain. X-rays were negative and a Monday MRI has been scheduled. Peterson believes that he will not miss any time, but if he does then Toby Gerhart would start.

Darrius Heyward-Bay- was carted off the field in the fourth quarter with a head/neck injury. Coach Hue Jackson confirmed that DHB has full use of his extremities and is expected to be in the team flight home. There is no word on his status for Week 12 and beyond.

Fred Jackson- left in the third quarter of the game with a bruised calf. Jackson expects to play in Week 12, but if he is out then C.J. Spiller will get the carries.

Donald Jones- went down with an ankle injury in the second quarter and is expected to miss 3-6 weeks. If Jackson is healthy, then Spiller should be the slot receiver while kicking David Nelson outside.

Colt McCoy- played much of the game with a right arm injury. McCoy believes he will not need a MRI, but if he is out then Seneca Wallace would be up next.

James Starks- left the game in the fourth quarter with a right knee strain. There is no updated on his status and the Packers play the Lions on Thursday during Thanksgiving so with the short turnaround it is very possible that Starks will miss at least Week 12. If he does, Ryan Grant will get his starting spot back but don't expect much out of him.

Greg Jennings- spent most of the second half on the sidelines with a bruised sheen. Coach Mike McCarthy believes Jennings is ok. It sounds like Jennings will be ready to on on Thursday against Detroit.

Matt Hasselback- left with a sprained right elbow late in the third quarter. Coach Mike Munchak said that Hasselback is still the starter but that he did not know if the quarterback could play in Week 12. If Hasselback is unable to go, Jake Locker would start against Tampa Bay.

Jay Cutler- reports are that Cutler fractured his right thumb during the game and the initial timetable is that he will be out 6-8 weeks. The Bears are planning to save a roster spot for Cutler and hope that he can come back late in the season or during the playoffs. Caleb Hannie will start for the rest of the regular season.
