Week 11 Start/ Sit Part 1: QBs

An expanded version with players from readers' feedback included will be posted on Saturday. This topic will take a look at some weekly matchups not involving top-tier NFL players such as Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Drew Brees (on bye), Arian Foster (also on bye), Adrian Peterson, Ray Rice, Chris Johnson (finally got back on track in Week 9 and continued doing so in Week 10), Darren McFadden (probably out again this week) and Calvin Johnson. Here are the starts and sits for Week 11:

QB

Start 'Em

Eli Manning (vs. Eagles)- Manning has been on fire lately and should be able to continue against an Eagles defense that has not lived up to expectations. Manning should have his full complement of receiving weapons (including Victor Cruz who had his breakout game against this Eagles defense in Week 3) while facing a Philadelphia defense that just lost Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

Carson Palmer (at Vikings)- as mentioned in the ShoutBox, Minnesota's defense is ranked #30 and just lost cornerback Antoine Winfield for the season. Palmer has shown that his arm is still strong enough in the last couple of weeks to throw and put up fantasy points. Even without Darren McFadden and Jacoby Ford, the Raiders have enough weapons with Michael Bush, Denarius Moore and other receivers that Palmer should be able to take advantage of this great matchup.

Tim Tebow (vs. Jets)- Tebow is in this list for the fifth straight week. The Broncos only threw the ball 8 times in Week 10, Tebow only completed 2 of those passes and with the lack of an air attack, he was able to put up enough fantasy points to make it into the Top 25 from Week 10. This week is his toughest matchup yet, but the same line of reasoning applies from previous weeks, which is that Tebow should be able to produce fantasy points (and that's all that matters in here) if he can avoid injuries or being benched.

Sit 'Em

Josh Freeman (at Packers)- on paper this looks like a great matchup for Freeman going against a Green Bay defense that has allowed tons of fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks playing catch-up. The problem is that Freeman and his Buccaneers have struggled on the road and have been a disappointment this season. There is no reason to expect any dramatic change in Tampa Bay and Freeman's fortunes this Sunday.

John Skelton (at 49ers)- Skelton was a pleasant surprise last week against the Eagles and Larry Fitzgerald owners could not be happier with those results, but nobody should expect a repeat performance in Week 11 against a tough San Francisco defense.

Andy Dalton (at Ravens)- Dalton has outperformed expectations and has been impressive this season. He will be going up against a Baltimore defense that has allowed the least fantasy points to quarterbacks and will be doing so possibly without A.J. Green. This should be the week that Dalton comes back down to Earth.
