Week 9 Start/ Sit Part 5: Ks and Defenses

For the previous parts:
Week 9 Start/ Sit Part 1: QBs
Week 9 Start/ Sit Part 2: RBs
Week 9 Start/ Sit Part 3: WRs
Week 9 Start/ Sit Part 4: TEs

This is Part 5 of the starts and sits for Week 9:

K

Start 'Em

Sebastian Janikowski (vs. Broncos)- this is the second straight week that a kicker going against Denver's defense is in this spot. The Broncos have allowed the most fantasy points to kicker and Janikowski should do well even if the game is not in the Mile-High City of Denver.

Sit 'Em

Rob Bironas (vs. Bengals)- Bironas was the top kicker in Week 8, but the Titans will be going up against a tough Bengals defense. Don't expect anything close to a repeat of last weeks' numbers in Week 9.

DEF

Start 'Em

49ers (at Redskins)- Redskins were shut out last week and San Francisco's defense is one of the best in the league. There is no reason to expect the unexpected in this matchup.

Cowboys (vs. Seahawks)- this is the second straight week that a team defense going up against Seattle is in this list. Last week, the Bengals were able to take advantage of the Seahawks bad offense. Dallas' defense should come out with a chip on their shoulder after the embarrassment they suffered in Philadelphia.

Sit 'Em

Giants (at Patriots)- the Giants have a good defense, but they will be going up against Tom Brady and his New England Patriots on the road where the Giants defense has had two of its worst games of the season while Brady takes better care of the ball at home.

Chargers (vs. Packers)- San Diego is no longer the top 10 fantasy defense of 2010. In fact this season they are in the bottom 10 in fantasy points and a matchup against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers passing machine will not help its cause.
