Week 10 Major Injuries Report from Sunday

After the decreasing amount of major injuries in the previous 2 Sundays of Week 8 and Week 9, today we saw a sharp spike in the number of such injuries. Chances are that if you are the owner of a good team(s), Week 10 was not kind to you and you were affected by one or more of this Sunday's injuries. Let's get to them and their fantasy implications:

Willis McGahee- left the game with a left hamstring injury in the first series and did not return, but coach John Fox said that he could have returned if needed in an emergency. With Knowshon Moreno also injured in the game, Lance Ball was the beneficiary of the huge workload and should be at least the main backup on Thursday against the Jets and if McGahee is out then Ball will be in for another big load.

Knowshon Moreno- was carted off with a sprained right knee in the first quarter and according to the Denver Post it is expected to keep him out for Week 11. He will have a MRI on Monday to determine the severity of the strain. Lance Ball stands to benefit from his absence.

Matt Cassel- suffered a left should injury and left the stadium with his middle and index fingers of his right throwing hand immobilized in a cast. Cassel said that he will be able to play against the Patriots. If he can not go, then Tyler Palko will get the start against New England.

Jeremy Maclin- left the game twice due to should and hamstring strains and will have at least one MRI on Monday. Maclin did not sound optimistic about his chances of playing in Week 11, but for not it is a wait and see.

A.J. Green- sustained a hyperextended right knee, but expects to play in Week 11 against the Ravens.

Julio Jones- aggravated his hamstring injury right before halftime and did not return to the game. Jones was pleading his case to play, but was not cleared. It sounds that he was kept out as a precautionary measure and should be good to go against the Titans. If he is out, Harry Douglas could be worth a look after his 8 receptions for 133 yards today.

Leonard Hankerson- left the game with a right hip strain after his breaking out for 8 catches and 106 yards. Hankerson does not expect to miss Week 11 and if this is true then he could be worth adding since it appears he has passed Jabar Gaffney for the top receiver spot on the Redskins.

Frank Gore- suffered a knee injury in addition to the lingering ankle sprain and was out most of the second half. Coach Jim Harbough said that Gore will play against the Cardinals in Week 11, but even if this holds, Kendall Hunter could be in line for a good amount of carries.

Matthew Stafford- played with a fractured index finger on his right throwing hand that probably was key in his disastrous afternoon, but is expected to play in Week 11.

Sidney Rice- suffered a mild concussion and there is no expectations yet on his availability for Week 11.

Doug Baldwin- left the game with a head injury and as with Rice, there is no word yet on his status for Week 11.
